This baby tandurusa is well-rooted and growing like a weed with one or two leaves per week! Each leaf has had nice variegation so far, and I expect it will keep producing lovely color as it matures. The newest leaf was unfurling when I potted it up, and it did the thing alocasia leaves do when you touch their roots. Such a shame - it looks like it would've been gorgeous.
Tandurusa was popularized in the states under A. 'Jacklyn' or A. 'Jaclyn' - after much controversy and some formal scientific description - it's now described as tandurusa. Either way, they're a dream to grow! Super forgiving and size up incredibly fast. One of the best beginner alocasia I can think of!
Note: Please consider purchasing alocasia for their genetic potential rather than specific leaves.
Most alocasia only hold onto so many leaves because of their growth habit. The leaves may change considerably from the time of photography to the time of purchase. ALL of our plants are sent with their SKU so you can ensure you got the correct one.
