All babies come from the same mother (see reference photos) and have a great root system. The mother has great genes, and the lineage notes are below for collectors. A, B, and C have actively growing tendrils, with the start of new leaves forming. D will get there; hoyas can be a bit slow to prop.
Wilbur Graves 'Russia' is hard enough to find, but these are also rooted, super splashy, and come from great genes! Often 'China' and NOID are mislabeled 'Russia' because they're more expensive.
Some key indicators of authenticity (if you're not familiar) are shorter, rounder, more ovate leaves, lots of silver, and dark leaf color. China *tends to* have longer, thinner leaves, and the sport carnosas *tend to* be lighter, have less silver, and have thinner leaves with more prominent veins.
**Lineage Notes for Hoya Collectors** I acquired two one-leaf cuttings from a Hoya collector in Cali in '22 to grow our current stock. She said she got hers from a collector in the EU years prior, and somewhere in this line of cuttings, one of the original plants came from Russia. (If you don't know the history of Wilbur Graves, that's going to sound obvious; I promise it's not!)
The number of the original mother was lost somewhere along the way if there ever was one at all.
