Weather protection (optional add-on)

I check the weather locally and at the destination before shipping. Complimentary heat packs and insulation are added when daytime temperatures are below 45ºF, and complimentary ice packs and insulation are added when daytime highs are above 90ºF on the day of arrival.

If your temps don't fall into that range, but you want weather protection anyway, you're welcome to add it à la carte.

Under certain conditions, the ice and heat packs might void our live arrival guarantee. For example, if temperatures are 70F—86F at the destination or NH is freezing, but the destination is excessively hot. If you purchase something that would void our guarantee, I'll contact you to discuss it before shipping and refund you if you decide against it. 

The insulation is Reflectix, cut to size and taped to seal everything properly on all six sides. It's by far the most expensive (both supply and time cost), but it does help the most. The heat packs are UniHeat 72H, and the ice packs are S-13376 refrigerant gel.

Heat and ice packs are placed on the bottom of the box so they don't squash your plants. When possible, heat packs are placed closer to the roots, and ice packs are placed in the middle; neither are ever going to be in direct contact with your plant—even if the box is flipped upside down.
