Quick FAQ

Can you legally ship to...?

We currently comply with the regulations of all 50 states and most countries.

Each package ships with our nursery license, labels indicating there are live plants inside, and labels indicating that the box needs to be removed from the truck at night. All plants are shipped bare root wrapped in damp sphagnum moss.

We currently don't offer international shipping on the site, but we're working on it!

Can you hold my order until a certain date?

Absolutely! We can hold plants for up to two weeks. Just include a note with your order.

Do you guarantee live arrival?

Yes, we guarantee all plants will show up alive and without pests or diseases as long as you don't request a shipping method that's not available by default at checkout. If you find your plant didn't make it, please reach out with photos within 12 hours!

We ship UPS 2nd-Day with the option to upgrade to Next Day (Air Saver). These are the only options available at checkout, so 99% of customers have nothing to worry about.

However, if you request the plant ship through USPS, FedEx, or an alternate method, we cannot guarantee they'll show up alive. Pest and disease are still covered though.

What should I do when my plants arrives?

The less you do, the better.

While it might be tempting to slap it in the most humid, brightest spot ever, repot it, feed it, water it, and generally over-love it, resisting the urge will pay off.

Place the plant in an area with good airflow and low light and allow it to acclimate to the new light and humidity conditions gradually. Only water the plant if the moss it arrives in is crunchy and dry, otherwise let it be for a few days. If you want more guidance, we’re working on a post about it. But, in the meantime, feel free to reach out.

What conditions do you grow under?

Our grow areas are kept at 75% humidity and 80F year-round. Full spectrum LEDs are on a 16/8 hour cycle. Once transitioned, all our plants receive at least 400FC. But the intensity depends on the stage of transition, level of variegation, and the species. All our lights are on a dimmer, so we adjust individual units as needed.

Because they’re grown in hydro, water quality is important. Every plant gets filtered water with nutrients added back in. By the time they leave they’re on a diet of at least 210 PPM of nitrogen with an EC of around 2.5, so they’ll have a reserve of nutrients to help them handle shipping and acclimation stress.

We also add silica, potassium, and several other trace minerals.
